#### **How to claim Discord’s Reverence Pack without reinstalling Warframe**

{% hint style="danger" %}
Do note: This does NOT work with the standalone launcher. BACKUP game files just in case something goes wrong. You do NOT need to install Warframe through Discord in order to obtain the Reverence pack. You DO need Discord Nitro (not Nitro Classic) for $10 in order to obtain the pack for free, otherwise it is $25. The Platinum obtained from the Reverence Pack is NOT tradeable.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %}
To locate your game’s launcher location from Steam if you don’t have a standalone launcher, open your Steam Library and right click on Warframe. Click on Properties at the bottom and go to the `Local files` tab. `Click Browse local files…` and go to the `Tools` folder. The `Launcher.exe` file is the program we will be dealing with.
{% endhint %}

1. Go to wherever the Warframe **Launcher** is installed on your PC. As an example, my game is installed at `C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Warframe\Tools`
2. Right click `Launcher.exe` and click `Create Shortcut`
3. Right click on `Launcher.exe - Shortcut` and click `Properties` from the drop-down menu. [**Example Image**](https://i.imgur.com/5w8kHfu.jpg)\*\*\*\*
4. \*\*\*\*First box on the Shortcut panel should be the Target box, and the path to the shortcut should be in quotation marks (make sure to put one quotation mark on either end of the Target location if they are not already there). At the very end, after the closing quotation mark, add a space and then the following: `-cluster:public -registry:Discord`[**Example Image**](https://i.imgur.com/eANAh83.jpg)
5. Click Apply, then OK, make sure the Discord Overlay is enabled inside Discord (Options > Overlay > Enable in-game Overlay) and that it is enabled to appear in Warframe, then run the shortcut. Log into the Warframe that opens and you should see the Reverence Pack right there on the main page of the in-game Market.

{% hint style="danger" %}
If you tried these instructions and it did not work for you, PLEASE START FROM THE BEGINNING. It’s likely something wasn’t done correctly. Make sure you read CAREFULLY.
{% endhint %}

#### **Game won’t Update**

#### **Verify your Game**

Click the cog in the upper right from the launcher, then click "Verify"

#### **Optimize your Game**

Click the cog in the upper right from the launcher, then click "Optimize"

#### **2FA and Trading**

You are now required to have 2FA enabled to trade with fellow Tenno. It is required to protect both parties from participating in account invasion-related situations. When both players have 2FA enabled, it helps to ensure that the persons trading are the legitimate account holders trading their own items. **Learn more about 2FA** [**here**](https://github.com/www.warframe.com/2fa-faq/README.md)\*\*\*\*

#### **Dx11 on Windows 7**

## Tips/Arcanes

### Gaining Combo

Gaining Combo for your Sniper/Melee is pretty simple, all you do is shoot the Eidolon at any given time to increase your Combo Counter, do note that this Combo Counter will decay over time, so you wanna keep shooting, hence why Carrier is good for Eidolons since it can supply Ammo when needed.

### Used Arcanes

The usage of Arcanes can play a huge part during the Eidolon fights, that being said, lets dive in. Every role besides the DPS should use Arcane Nullifier since they have no reason to use other Arcanes, and because Nullifier helps with blocking magnetic procs from everything.

The DPS's Arcanes are dependent on what weapon they choose to run, If it is a Primary, they should run Arcane Acceleration and Arcane Momentum, if they are running a Melee, they should run Arcane Strike and Arcane Avenger.

# Required Operator Gear/Focus

## Meta Operator Amps

Amps are modular weapons that enhance your Operators combat capabilities,\
Since these items are modular, this section will cover what combinations are best for Eidolons.

![](/files/-LiCuQAt3mPTIMAq5Yif)

People will often refer the best amp to be "x23, x27, or x77"\
They are referring to the parts listed above, So what would mean:\
x-2-3 = Any Prism, Shraksun Scaffold, Lohrin Brace\
x-2-7 = Any Prism, Shraksun Scaffold, Certus Brace\
x-7-7= Any Prism, Propa Scaffold, Certus Brace

Disclaimer:\
If you are just starting out and still are on the Mote Amp,\
It would be strongly recommended to kill a few Teralyst, Use the cores gathered and make a 1-1-1 Amp,\
Which is a Raplak Prism, Pencha Scaffold, Clapkra Brace.\
This amp will serve much better then a Mote Amp in a Tridolon hunt.

## Meta Operator Focus

### Void Strike

On leaving Void Mode the next **1 / 1 / 2 / 4 / 6 / 8** attacks deal **5% / 7% / 8% / 10% / 11% / 12%** additional damage for every second spent cloaked. Cloak consumes **2** additional energy per second.

* The charges created by Void Strike will be consumed if either the Operator or the Warframe performs an attack.
* Cloaking again while having charges left will increase the damage bonus for the remaining charges, but new charges will not be stored until all are used.

### Unairu Wisp

Void Blast has a **25% / 50% / 75% / 100%** chance to summon a Wisp when it damages an enemy. The Wisp can be picked up by allies to increase Operator damage by **20% / 40% / 60% / 100%** for**3 / 6 / 9 / 12** seconds.

* The Unairu Wisp shares the same model as [Cetus Wisp](https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Cetus_Wisp) and is most often found laying on the ground.
* Multiple wisps can be picked up by a single Operator, refreshing their duration.
* The wisp grants a multiplicative damage bonus

### Waybounds

| Unairu Wisp                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           | Void Strike                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               |

# Role Jobs

Here are your task as said role.

## Operator

### Void Strike

Void Strike from Madurai is the focus you'll be running if you are not playing the damage role.\
Void Strike is when you are in void mode, you will charge up a damage multiplier for the next X shots,\
That being said, sitting in Void Mode for a long time will result in a big multiplier, big enough to one shot the Eidolon's shields with enough buffs.

#### Precharge run

Precharge run refers to charging up a big Void Strike multiplier before night time hits.\
During this run, you only need to dump one shot per shields, and each person takes turns shooting.\
Typically in this run, it will go in this order.

* Trinity will end up taking 2 Teralyst shields.
* Volt will then shoot his shots per shield until he is out
* Harrow will then shoot his shots per shield until the end of Hydrolyst
* If any shields are left, Trinity can come in and shoot shields.

#### After precharge run

After the precharge is complete, This is when everybody will shoot at the same time to take out the shields.

#### Virtuous Shadow & Wisp

After the DPS takes out the Synovia, he will proceed to drop Unairu Wisp under neath the Eidolon, after you pick one of these up, proceed to proc Virtuous Shadow by Void Dashing back and fourth on the Eidolon's head.

### Unairu Wisp

Unairu Wisp from Unairu is what you'll be running if you are playing the damage role.\
Unairu Wisp is when you perform a Void Blast, it will drop a tiny Wisp that grants 100% extra damage\
to your Operator's Amp.

#### Where to wisp & when

After breaking one of the Eidolon's Synovias, then it is time to start wisping for your team.\
Climb up on the Eidolon's right knee up to the waist, and spam E to start spawning Wisp.

## Warframes

### Chroma

Chroma is a fairly easy role to play when it comes to Eidolon's.\
You will be running Unairu Wisp as your focus, and providing Wisp when necessary.\
You get your damage buff from your 3rd ability "Vex Armor".\
Basically after you are done fast charging and have arrived at the Eidolon, you will get out your self damaging weapon and start to charge up max Fury from Vex Armor, then proceed with the Eidolon.\
Use Elemental Ward if you wish to have more Reload Speed or Health Bonus. (Depends on your energy color.)

### Volt

Volt requires a little bit of work but you get the hang of it easily after a while.\
You will be running Void Strike as your focus, and placing Shields when necessary.\
Placing shields allow for more amp damage once you shoot through it.\
Shield placement varies on the amps being used,

* Shraksun - You place the shields horizontal in the Eidolon's right foot so you can shoot up and get multihits, resulting in maximum damage.
* Propa - You place the shields sort of vertical a few meters away from the Eidolon so you can safely shoot Propa without it detonating on anything unneeded.

### Harrow

Harrow is arguably the easiest role to play when it comes to Eidolon's.\
You will be running Void Strike as your focus, and casting Covenant when necessary.\
You cast your 4th ability when the Eidolon tips his head down right before Energy Spike.\
Running 92-95% duration means your crit buff will run out before the next Energy Spike,\
Making Covenant able to cast again.

### Trinity

Trinity is the role that requires the most work when it comes to Eidolon's\
You will be running Void Strike as your focus, and grabbing lures and blessing when necessary.\
DPS will grab the first lure and charge it, your job is to grab 2 more lures, drop them so that way the DPS can grab them, then fly out to grab 5 more.

### Ivara

Ivara is a really tricky role and is not normally recommended due to how tricky it really is.\
You will be running Unairu Wisp as your focus, and navigating Castanas on the Synovia.\
When the Eidolon is about to Energy Spike, you will throw a Castana, cast 2 so you can navigate it, navigate it onto a Synovia, detonate when the shields break.

### Rhino

Rhino is the same as Chroma, minus the self damaging part.\
You will be running Unairu Wisp as your focus, and keeping up Roar when needed.\
Casting Roar will give you a damage boost, you may also cast Iron Skin for more survivability.

### Titania

Titania is pretty fun to use when it comes to Eidolon's\
You will be running Unairu Wisp as your focus, and casting shooting Synovias while in Razorwing with Dex Pixia.\
Casting Razorwing will put you in a little archwing mode which also brings out your Dex Pixia which is your damaging weapon, note that this ability is kind of spammed due to going in and out due to Wisping.

### Garuda

Garuda is also a pretty tricky role but you get used to it when it comes to Eidolon's\
You will be running Unairu Wisp as your focus, and casting your 3rd to get your damage buff.\
Casting your 3rd will drop your HP by 50%, casting twice will drop you down to 2HP but at a 100% damage buff, You want to keep at 2HP to keep your damage buff, so when the Trinity blesses, just cast 3 twice.

## Fast Charging

Here is a really good video to learn fast charging.\

# Commonly asked questions

To answer the questions :blob.

### Why does the DPS host?

The reason why the DPS is host is because he needs to load in first to grab the first lure and fast charge it.

### Why does the DPS get first lure and charge it?

The reason why the DPS gets and charges first lure is so that way he can speed through the Teralyst without worrying about speed from the Trinity.

### Why do people dash to "the log"?

The reason why people dash to the log when the DPS grabs the lure is because it will shift Vomvalyst spawns, making the fast charge a lot quicker.

### Why not use Amesha instead of Harrow for eidolons?

While Amesha could in theory replace Harrow, but there is a lot of problems here,\
Harrow provides a critical chance buff that helps with one shotting limbs and capshot,\
Itzal has the ability to Blink across the plains of eidolon very quickly.

### How many lures is trinity supposed to get?

Trinity will get a total of 7 lures,\
Firstly will get 2 lures and drop them to the DPS,\
Then fly out to get 5 more.

### What is a preshield?

Preshielding is when the volt flies out to future Gantulyst/Hydrolyst spawns and places shields there before placing the shards in the shrine, The volt should fly out as soon as the eidolon starts to get up from Healing Phase.

### Why is the Shraksun Scaffold the best scaffold?

Reason why the Shraksun is the best is because it has punch through in which can result in hitting multiple hitboxes, usually resulting in one shotting the shields if enough void strike is present.

### When does harrow cast his 4th?

There are two ways to indicate when exactly to cast 4th,\
One of them being is when he tips his head down further right before Energy Spike,\
Or if you are depending on Audio, There will be a brief moment of silence right before Energy Spike, cast it then.

### What is a 1x3/2x3/3x3/4x3/5x3/6x3?

\#x3 represents how many sets of Eidolons per night cycle,\
Example if you did a 3x3, you captured 3 Hydrolyst in one night cycle, etc etc.

### Why do you not use Serration or any type of +damage with Chroma?

Vex Armor is additive with +damage type mods, meaning it acts as one big Serration.\
Elementals will scale a bunch better with Vex Armor so you would refer to use Primed Cryo Rounds or Wildfire in the place of Serration, Primed Cryo Rounds deals an extra 25% damage to Alloy Armor, Wildfire helps to stack Radiation if you do not own Primed Cryo Rounds.

Here is the math to prove that PCR deals more then Serration.

#### Primed Cryo Rounds

* 1 x (1 + 9.15) x (1 + 0.9 x 2 + 1.65) = 45.1675

#### Serration

* 1 x (1 + 9.15 + 1.65) x (1 + 0.9 x 2) = 33.04

9.15 represents 915% Fury from Vex Armor, Just replace the number with your own Fury for your own calculations.

### How do i proc Virtuous Shadow?

Virtuous Shadow, which i agree with, can be a big pain to proc,\
But thankfully another experienced hunter by the name of effion#8506 has made a descriptive video\
on how to proc Virtuous Shadow quite easily.\

# Arbitrations

Arbitrations is the endgame elite alert for players once completing the star chart.

Arbitrations are a special alert that consist of elite versions of endless missions with special modifiers to help with the greater difficulty.

In order for a player to unlock these elite alerts, the player must complete every connected node in the star chart, Only nodes that do NOT need to be completed is Mutalist Alad V and Jordas Golem assassinations on Eris. (The player can check their total progress by talking to the Arbitrations representative in the Arbiters of Hexis vendor in Relays.)

Arbitrations will only select nodes with a endless mission type, these mission types consist of

* Survival
* Interception
* Defense
* Excavation
* Defection
* Infested Salvage

### Mechanic

In the Arbitration, Once you lose all of your health, you do NOT enter a bleedout phase, instead you die instantly, Once this occurs, a Revive Tower will appear at the place of death with a red way point. In order to use this Revive Tower, you must destroy Arbitration Shield Drones so they will drop Resurgence tokens, These tokens function identical to Index points so be careful, you need 5 of these to revive a dead player.

In the Arbitration, Arbitration Shield Drones will spawn with enemies, they function similarly to Shield Ospreys, but instead grant enemies immune to all types of damage and warframe abilities. You must kill these drones so the enemies will become vulnerable once again. Killing the drones will also explode on death, dealing high amounts of Blast damage to the ENEMY.

On your navigation, Before clicking on the Arbitration, you will notice a,

* WarframeName +300% Strength
* WeaponName +300% Damage

During the Arbitration, Those items will receive that buff for the duration of the Arbitration.

### Rotations

In the Arbitration, Rotation lengths are twice as long as their normal endless mission variant, Additionally, The missions also support a modifier unique to each,

* Survival - Capsules are worth 75% of usual.
* Interception - Enemy towers fill twice as fast.
* Defense - Operative is equipped with a Telos Akbolto
* Excavation - Defense time is increased from 100 seconds to 180 seconds.
* Defection - Rescue targets cannot be revived.
* Infested Salvage - Consoles have half of their normal health.

Also note, After you have reached rotation C, It will remain rotation C forever, This is ONLY for Arbitrations. Each rotation has a near identical, but the % gets higher.

### Rotation A rewards

# Affinity

Affinity is basically Warframe's mechanic for experience points.

### How to gain affinity

* Using a Warframe or Archwing ability
* Hacking a terminal
* Completing an objective
* Collecting an Affinity Orb
* Scanning with a Codex Scanner
* Killing enemies

### How affinity is spread

* Killing with a Warframe's ability will grant 100% affinity towards the Warframe
* Killing with a Weapon will grant 50% affinity to the weapon, and 50% to the Warframe
* Being near an ally when they kill an enemy, 25% affinity is granted to the Warframe, and 75% affinity is spread across equipped weapons, 25% split between 3 weapons equipped, 37.5% split between 2 weapons equipped, 75% if only one weapon is equipped.

### Tips for gaining affinity

There are multiple ways for gaining affinity to level your gear,

* Grineer give the most affinity out of every faction, so it is recommended to run high level Grineer defense.
* Helene, Saturn - This place is great for affinity as well as passively farming Orokin Cells, because you need a lot to craft prime gear.
* Hydron, Sedna - Also a great area to farm affinity.
* Elite Sanctuary Onslaught - The best place to level up weapons, because it is a onslaught of high level enemies to grant tons of affinity.
* Adaro, Sedna - This place is a tricky one, It requires you to be stealthy, so it is recommended to bring someone with a Equinox and sleep everyone, because stealth kills stack up to 500% bonus affinity per kill, and like stated earlier, killing grants 50% to weapon and 50% to warframe.

# Events

Past, Present, or Future events.

What each can bring.

### Razorwing

The Razorwing Armada is a recurring event triggered by the Corpus winning enough invasions.\
The goal is to take down a special boss, The Razorback.

#### Mechanics

To enter this boss' node, you need a special Cipher.\
One of this Cipher's components is the Cryptographic ALU, Which can only be earned from Corpus\
Archwing missions. It is recommended that you farm the Neptune mobile defense (Salacia) to acquire\
these as it is the most efficient out of all the Corpus archwing nodes. Once crafted and placed into the\
gear wheel, you can now face the boss.

To beat the Razorback, you need to hack the Bursa's on the higher level to knock down the Razorback\
Making it vulnerable to attacks, Repeat until the boss is finally dead.

#### Rewards

* Gorgon Wraith parts.
* 120% Puncture damage mods.
* Archwing heat 60% 60% mods.

### Balor Fomorians

The Balor Fomorian is a recurring event triggered by the Grineer winning enough invasions.\
The goal is to damage the core of the Fomorian.

#### Mechanics

To enter this boss' node, you need a Fomorian Disruptor and an Archwing.\
One of the disruptor's components is an Omega Isotope, which can only be acquired from\
killing enemies on the Fomorian's target planet.

To damage the core, you need to get close and destroy the surrounding shields by using the\
Fomorian Disruptor, exposing the core for 30-40 seconds. There are 16 power nodes that you can\
destroy for extra damage. After this time is up, you will have 30 seconds to evacuate to a safe distance\
of 350m.

#### Rewards

* Imperator Vandal parts.
* 400 Endo.
* Archwing Cold, Electric, and Toxin 60% 60% mods.

# Crash Course in Weapon Modding

by @Tallow316#8287

One of the biggest roadblocks in Warframe is getting your gear up to snuff, and keeping it that way as you progress over time. In a game like Warframe, with such a complex modding system, it’s totally normal to be very intimidated at first. I mean, there’s almost a thousand of the things in the game now, so it’s no wonder why the system is a major draw for some players. That being said, there’s a few weapon mods that stand above the rest, and are suitable for most if not all builds. In this guide, I will only be going over weapon mods, as warframes have such an immense amount of build variety that one guide just couldn’t cover everything. Without further ado, let’s get to it!

## The Basics of Modding

1. Quality > Quantity. Having one higher level mod is usually better than having a bunch of lower level mods.
2. All mods have a polarity located at the top right of a mod card. If you put one of these mods in a slot with a matching polarity, the capacity it takes up will be halved, while placing one in a slot with a mismatched polarity will increase the cost.

### Ways to Get More Mod Capacity

Leveling up a weapon provides one mod capacity for each level gained, up to a maximum of thirty. When you first start, gear will start at 0 mod capacity before you start investing in it. When you start to increase your own MAstery Rank, however, gear will instead start with mod capacity equal to your MR, but will gain capacity only for levels that exceed your MR. There is, of course, more ways to increase it, being Forma and Orokin Catalysts or Reactors:

![](/files/-MfG7EvJIJOZQiLZw8Hc)

Forma, put simply, allows you to reset your piece of gear back to level 0, but with a polarity slot of your choosing. Nothing is lost other than the levels. Forma is both as strong as yet a little weaker than Catalysts, as the polarities it provides halve a mod’s cost.

![](/files/-MfG7EvKph-hQ6SorwLm)

Affectionately referred to as potatoes by the community, blue Orokin Catalysts double the capacity of any weapon. These have a much greater initial effect than forma, but are much harder to come by. These should usually be saved for gear that you enjoy using.

Stance mods are special mods for Melee weapons that increase a weapon’s mod capacity. This boost is affected by polarities like normal, doubling the added capacity for a matching polarity, or having a decreased boost for a mismatched one.![](/files/-MfG7EvLuUfV9dcEwSCh)

## General Damage Mods

These mods are your build’s bread and butter. When you get them, they’ll tend to be what you should level first and foremost.

### Damage

There’s not much more to say, these mods give an increase to your damage, including elemental damage. These should be your main goal early game, though the higher levels can end up being more expensive than other mods and provide a smaller increase in power.

![](/files/-MfG7EvMLOs4z7JAS6x5) ![](/files/-MfG7EvNUuX17HHQlK4H) ![](/files/-MfG7EvO-sP3iirvAHsa) ![](/files/-MfG7EvPq2PtbsoBijqx)

### Multishot

These are a little different. Multishot refers to the chance of a weapon to fire an additional bullet or shell with every shot. Going over 100% Multishot gives a chance to fire yet another bullet. Do note that Multishot on beam weapons only gives a chance to double dip on a damage tick, and doesn’t give a chance for an extra status proc like you would get for a weapon firing bullets. Instead, it just increases the status chance.

![](/files/-MfG7EvQdK_hYZaBaRTh) ![](/files/-MfG7EvROtyZJJ61zzC_) ![](/files/-MfG7EvSwX9Xxgj_pLjM)

### Elemental

There’s eight major elemental mods for each weapon, but for now we’ll just focus on the four most basic ones. Elemental mods give damage consisting of one of four different base elements, being Cold, Heat, Toxin, and Electricity. This damage scales with the weapon’s modified base damage. These are your third best ways to increase damage outright, though they also help your weapons deal more (or less) damage to an enemy depending on its health/armor/shield type. In addition, you can mix two elemental mods together in order to make a new element that provides further bonuses against enemies.

|                 | Toxin             | Heat            | Cold           | Electricity    |
| --------------- | ----------------- | --------------- | -------------- | -------------- |
| Shotguns | Contagious Spread | Incendiary Coat | Chilling Grasp | Charged Shell |
| Other Primaries | Infected Clip     | Hellfire        | Cryo Rounds    | Stormbringer   |
| Secondaries     | Pathogen Rounds   | Heated Charge   | Deep Freeze    | Convulsion     |
| Melees | Fever Strike | Molten Impact | North Wind | Shocking Touch |

### Combo Counter

Combo counter mods are only present on melee weapons and aren’t technically damage mods, but it’s important to familiarize yourself with them before diving into melee builds.

#### **Combo duration**

Combo Duration mods are quite simple in that they give you a longer grace period between hitting an enemy. Blood Rush and Weeping Wounds builds appreciate having these mods.

![](/files/-MfG7EvTfScheGdRYRoq) ![](/files/-MfG7EvU0UYBeR1GUVOp)

#### **Bonus Combo Chance**

While they can be a little difficult to fit into builds, these mods can make building your combo counter much faster. In my experience, Quickening is very handy to have, while True Punishment is a little more restrictive, but quite strong.

![](/files/-MfG7EvV65DubBE4orZa) ![](/files/-MfG7EvWesiqNXtw_5Iq)

While the former two mods allow you to build your combo faster, Corrupt Charge allows you to simply start at a higher combo counter at all times. This can be a little tricky to fit into most builds, but can be helpful for Heavy Attack builds.

## Weapon Strategies

All weapons have both a Status Chance and a Critical Chance (and a Critical Multiplier to go with it). While raw damage will be able to carry you through the very early game, you’ll likely eventually end up needing to build your weapon for one (or both) of those strategies.

### Raw Damage Builds

Raw Damage builds look nice at first, as you can certainly pump a lot of damage into weapons that, sure, would make them do more damage at base than either of the other two, but these builds lack a lot of staying power as you progress through the game as armor and health values increase with the enemy’s level. That being said, though, these are going to be the go-to for most weapons you’ll find in the early game, as some of the necessary mods can be hard to find. Fortunately, by the time these builds start to fall off, you’ll likely have many of the necessary tools at your disposal to craft a more advanced build.

### Critical Focused Builds

Critical Hit builds, or Crit builds for short, are the simplest of the two. Simply speaking, these builds deal with your chance to score a critical hit, as well as the multiplier that will be applied when you do score one.

#### **Crit Chance**

Before we move on, it is important to note that there’s multiple levels of Crits. A normal, or yellow crit just multiplies the gun’s damage by the crit multiplier. However, if your crit chance is above 100%, not only will you always yellow crit, but you’ll also have a chance for an orange crit, which will cause that shot to have the crit multiplier to be applied *again*. It doesn’t stop there, though. If you have a Crit Chance of over 200%, you’ll always score an orange crit on top of the original yellow crit, and you’ll also have a chance for a red crit. Red crits, you guessed it, apply the crit multiplier again. That being said, the vast majority of the time you’ll need some help from crit chance sources outside of your build to even hit orange crits reliably, though melee weapons specifically have a few tricks up their sleeves.

#### **Crit Chance Mods**

These are your bread and butter for crit builds. It doesn’t matter how high the crit multiplier is if you can’t reliably proc a crit. While sure, there are *some* ways to force a crit, they’re either unreliable, clunky, or both. Therefore, you’re going to need at least one crit chance mod as well as a reasonable base crit chance and crit multiplier. The “minimum” recommended crit chance varies by both weapon type and personal taste, though around 15-20% can be workable, with 25%+ being preferable for most weapons.

![](/files/-MfG7EvY78yjlT8KDDcA) ![](/files/-MfG7EvZrGa3OQv0XRZV) ![](/files/-MfG7Ev_JrnGohFgFWuO) ![](/files/-MfG7Evaxx0oXhUK5Imz)

#### Crit Damage Mods

Now that we have crit chance out of the way, we get to the fun part: Just how high can you push your crit damage? The answer is… Pretty high, actually. Much like crit chance, crit damage has one basic mod for each of the four weapon types.

![](/files/-MfG7EvbI3FJtLchg_cn) ![](/files/-MfG7EvchUwupxs2cnyw) ![](/files/-MfG7EvdnP-vslLY2Cts) ![](/files/-MfG7Evesnj38g2UJ8-n)

#### Melee Crit Builds

Finally, we get to melee builds. These builds are much different than those for guns, and as such, do require a little more investing in more uncommon mods. That being said, the result normally ends in a devastatingly strong weapon always at an arm’s reach. There’s a couple different strong crit builds for melee: Blood Rush builds and Heavy Attack Builds.

#### Blood Rush

The main goal of Blood Rush builds revolves around Berserker and Blood Rush. Berserker is a rare mod that increases attack speed when you score a critical hit, while Blood Rush increases a weapon’s crit chance as the melee combo counter ticks up. Scoring a crit will cause you to attack faster, which means you’re increasing the combo counter faster, which means you’re critting more often due to Blood Rush, which in turn allows you to attack faster and faster (to a point). It’s a very powerful build as is, and is one of the only reliable ways to consistently see red crits without help from outside your build. Because the crit chance increase can be volatile due to the combo counter decaying, these builds universally rely on some form of combo counter duration mods in order to give yourself more leeway in between engagements.

![](/files/-MfG7Evfab7OmPbRGpZm) ![](/files/-MfG7EvghqeUsmj1rk1W)

#### Heavy Attack

Heavy attack builds sacrifice the ability for strong continuous attacks for slower, much more powerful attacks. These builds forsake building the combo counter, but have enough impact to give them a powerful attack without having to build up your counter. As you don’t use the combo counter, you use the much easier to get True Steel or Sacrificial Steel mods for your crit chance, which offer TWICE their effect to heavy attacks. Despite using basic crit mods, heavy attack builds have no lack of uniqueness. They have quite an array of useful mods to increase their damage (Killing Blow, Corrupt Charge) or attack speed (Killing Blow, Amalgam Organ Shatter)

### Status Based Builds

While crit builds are all about boosting your damage to ridiculous heights to overwhelm armor, Status builds instead seek to bypass it in a few different ways. The minimum recommended status chances do still vary by weapon type, though \~20% for melee, secondaries, and non-sniper or shotgun primaries is usable, while \~25% or more is good for snipers. Shotguns are unique in that each pellet fired can proc status, but they have an all around lower status chance. Around 10% status chance or so per pellet is fine for shotguns.

Just like crit chance, status chance now also has an effect when boosted to above 100%, simply giving you a guaranteed status proc every 100%, with a chance to have another. For example, if I had a weapon with a total of 316% status chance, I will always have three status procs and a 16% chance of getting a fourth proc.

#### Status Chance Mods and 60/60s

Fortunately, status builds start fairly simple as they only really require you to pick up a set of mods for each of the four weapons types. These mods are fairly low drain, offer great status chance, and provide elemental damage to boot. Because they all offer 60% status chance and 60% elemental damage, they’re commonly referred to as 60/60s. Once you get these mods, it’s as easy as just leveling them and tossing them into a build alongside any other damage mods.

|                 | Toxin             | Heat               | Cold          | Electricity    |
| --------------- | ----------------- | ------------------ | ------------- | -------------- |
| Shotguns | Toxic Barrage | Scattering Inferno | Frigid Blast | Shell Shock |
| Other Primaries | Malignant Force | Thermite Rounds | Rime Rounds | High Voltage |
| Secondaries     | Pistol Pestilence | Scorch             | Frostbite     | Jolt           |
| Melees | Virulent Scourge | Volcanic Edge | Vicious Frost | Voltaic Strike |

#### What do Status Procs Even do?

Now we’re *really* heading down the rabbit hole. Every damage type in the game has some effect that it will apply when it is chosen as a status proc. All three physical damage types, all four basic elemental types, and all six combined damage types each have their own unique effect when procced. There’s a lot of depth to builds when it comes to these, so I would recommend looking into them more once you get a good idea as to what you’re doing. To start with, Viral + Heat is a popular pick.

#### What Status Effect am I Even Going to Proc?

Here’s where we start getting into some scary math. Status procs are randomly selected from your current damage types. While you can certainly use a couple formulas to actually determine the exact chance that a proc will be what you want, it’s generally easier to just remember this simple phrase: “More good: Good”.

#### The Melee Exception

This time around, melee builds are much much simpler, yet they still have their own little trick, in the form of Condition Overload. Condition overload is a mod that increases your melee damage by 120% for every unique status effect currently affecting the target. These builds can also be supplemented by the use of Weeping Wounds, if you are looking for a higher status chance as well.

![](/files/-MfG7EvjK_f27rDT8SFE) ![](/files/-MfG7EvkqlL-VevdPlJn)

### Can I use Both?

If *both* sets of stats are fairly high, as is the case for the Vectis sniper rifle, you can ignore the choice all together and create a very effective hybrid build simply using the two basic crit mods and enough 60/60s in order to reach a status chance you’re comfortable with.

### Which Build Should I Use?

The ultimate choice as to what build you should use largely lies in both personal preference and weapon status or critical stats. Though, even if a specific build or weapon is powerful, that means nothing if you personally don’t enjoy that build type, weapon gimmick, or even weapon category. Therefore, before you heavily invest in a weapon, you should make sure to take the time and acquaint yourself with the weapon, and get a feel as to whether or not you could see yourself using this weapon for hours of play time once you put the time and resources into leveling it.

## Other Mods

### “Noob Trap” Mods

Mods referred to as “Noob Traps” are mods that, while they *can* be handy if you have nothing better, have fairly easy to obtain alternatives that are much better. These mods may look okay at first glance, but typically either don’t have high enough numbers or are just too niche.

#### **Low % IPS Mods**

These mods are incredibly common, though due to their really low to okayish percentages, will typically drop out of builds very quickly. While the 120% IPS mods do have their niches, 30%, 60%, and even 90% IPS mods are outclassed by 90% elemental mods nine times out of ten. These will be helpful early game, but will tend to be the first mod you should cut to make room for stronger mods.

#### **Ammo and Magazine Related Mods**

Max Ammo mods don’t really bring a whole lot to the table, especially when the latter is largely outclassed by both another Ammo mod as well as a Sentinel, meaning that it gets much more difficult to validate a place for it in a build. Do note, though, that Ammo Drum specifically is commonly used as the go-to filler item for giveaways.

Magazine Capacity mods, while they do let you lay down suppressing fire for longer, don’t make that suppressing fire hurt any more, meaning that they are also hard to validate.

Ammo Mutation mods used to be hard to justify, but with the introduction of Exilus slots for guns, they no longer require you to sacrifice damage for ammo.

#### **Pure Punch Through Mods**

While Punch Through (Or PT) mods do help you take on hordes a bit better, their extremely high cost (usually 15 points at max level) makes it very hard to fit them into builds.

#### **Bane Mods**

Any mod that adds damage against a single faction already has an obvious weakness. These are useful early game, but replacing them with more consistent sources of damage asap is a good choice.

### Niche Mods

These mods aren’t as widely used as the rest, but they do hold some useful niches nonetheless.

#### **120% Impact, Puncture, and Slash Mods**

These can be a *little* misleading at first. The larger percentages would imply a larger damage boost compared to the 90% increase of status mods. However, because these mods scale based on only one single damage type, the damage granted by these mods only exceeds that of a 90% Elemental mod when the affected damage type makes up 75% or more of a weapon’s base damage. Nevertheless, these can be particularly useful for status weapons that rely on Slash damage, allowing you to increase the chance of the weapon proccing Slash.

#### **Reload Speed Mods**

Increasing a weapon’s reload speed usually isn’t particularly worth it, though some weapons do appreciate it. The Vectis is a common user of these, as having to reload after every shot can be a pain. Others, like the Tigris family, Twin Rogga, Angstrum, and more either have really small magazines that cause them to reload a lot, dump their entire magazine with one attack, or both. The Vectis Prime also tends to use Depleted Reload in order to get back to a single shot magazine.

#### **Fire Rate Mods**

Fire rate mods are kind of hard to tell. On the one hand, they don’t make your shots do any more damage, on the other hand, you’re shooting more shots, on the *other* other hand, they make your weapon eat up ammo faster. These mods not only increase fire rate, but also decrease charge time, spin up time, and increase the fire rate of each shot in a burst weapon’s burst in addition to the fire rate of bursts in general. While their increases aren’t as big as pure fire rate mods, Shred offers the bonus of a bit of Punch Through, while Lethal Torrent offers some multishot. Vile Acceleration is also a commonly used fire rate mod on very heavy hitting weapons with long charge times, like the Lanka or Opticor.

#### **+Damage -Accuracy Mods**

These corrupted mods offer a great increase in damage, though at quite the frustrating price for many guns. Even though you are doing more damage per shot, your weapon’s newfound tendency to send shots careening off course can lead to you actually end up doing less damage than you would without it. Regardless, some weapons can make do with it. Beam weapons in particular always have pinpoint accuracy, making this a free damage boost. There are some other weapons that can use it with little negative effect, though. Quartakk, for example, goes from a pinpoint four-shot burst rifle to more of a shotgun sort of weapon. Heavy Caliber for rifles is the best of these, with Vicious Spread being okay for Shotguns, and Magnum Force not being advisable at all, due to it having an objectively better alternative.

## Conclusion

That just about covers it, then. It’s a lot of information, to be certain, but after a while you’ll be able to whip up a build in no time flat. Of course, don’t be afraid to experiment a little. Just because a mod isn’t mentioned here doesn’t mean that it isn’t useful at all. Builds do still come down to personal taste a majority of the time, so I encourage you to try builds out for yourself in order to really get a feel as to what your playstyle is in Warframe.

# The Index (Easily)

This section covers how to easily complete The Index. Credit to Danish Chief#7899

Lets start out with the gear that is recommended.\
Firstly, you'll want to complete The Sacrifice to acquire Excalibur Umbra.\
The reason why you want to use Umbra is because his passive is when entering\
your Operator, Umbra will turn into a Specter AI and kill.

Secondly, A lot of weapons will work well with Umbra's Specter, Even though this is\
the case, There's a couple top-tier ones that are recommended to use, Those being:

* Kohm
* Rubico
* Tombfinger (With Haymaker + Splat)
* Catchmoon (With Haymaker +Splat)

Thirdly, You must know how to build for these weapons, Since the enemies in the Index\
have Alloy Armor, you want to build for Radiation, so 90% Electricity 90% Heat.\
You also want to build for crit, so use those mods as well. For the Kohm, You also want\
additional fire rate, since Umbra has infinite magazine with the Kohm.

### Inside Map:

For this area, you’ll want to head to the enemy side of the map (the one that’s chrome/the one that you put points on). Once you get there, there’ll be a ledge on top of the hallway leading to the staircase. You’ll want to stand on this, then leave umbra. This will teleport him below, on to the bunker protecting the place where points are scored. Once this has been done, you have to look within the area which I marked below:

![](/files/-LgEdB8leL5EzhebhYP0)

### How it works:

When you look at the places which I explained and marked up top, and don’t move your gaze away from said area, you force the enemies to only spawn in one small area. When you do this, you can use umbra’s innate ability to hit all shots without damage drop off to effectively slaughter them where they stand and get an insane amount of points to drop. The way you actually get to score points with this method, is by letting the specters pick up the points and run them in.

Note: The Wukong specter doesn’t pick up points and tends to be utterly useless, as well as the fact that some of the specters sometimes get stuck. This can be undone by just going down from your spot most of the time, but sometimes they need you to run in points for them.

Note on focus school/operator arcanes: I recommend using Unairu, so that when need be you can make your umbra invisible as well as giving him an 80% damage reduction. Secondly, due to my use of invisibility to keep him alive I recommend using magus repair to heal him 20% of his max health while you’re keeping him invisible.

# Orb Vallis Gameplay

This section covers what the Orb Vallis has to offer.

Orb Vallis is the second open world region located on Venus, This area has various fields, hills, caves, flowing coolants, different climates and more!

Feel free to check the Orb Vallis map [here](https://hub.warframestat.us/#/vallis/map).

# Weather

Orb Vallis features a real time cycle in which the map transitions between cold and warm temperatures,\
The weather cycle consist of Warm - Cold, with 6 minutes and 40 seconds of Warm and 20 minutes of Cold. The weather is important because it affects the wildlife that players can encounter on the fields.

# Fishing

Orb Vallis features flowing coolant, acting like bodies of water similar to the Plains of Eidolon.\
Players can engage in spearfishing to catch various servofish, which can be used as resources to craft various Solaris United items, or can be gifted to The Business to increase standing with the Solaris United faction. You must acquire a Shockprod Fishing Spear from The Business in order to fish these servofish.

There are multiple different types of servofish,\
And those are,

# Conservation

Conservation is a non-combat activity within the Orb Vallis that involves tracking, luring, and capturing local animals alive. Once a player has enough standing to acquire a Tranq Rifle and at least one Echo-Lure from the Business, you will be able to start your Conservation journey.

Once you pull out either your Tranq Rifle or Echo-Lure, The conservation menu will appear automatically on the bottom right, indicating that either is equipped. When you hold out one of these items, once you look on your minimap, you will notice some paw-prints to indicate where the animal is.

After heading to one of those paw-prints, you will find a calling point, after starting the call point, a trail of foot prints will appear on the ground, and if you follow them you will end up finding another call point.

Get out the Echo-Lure respected to what the call points animal is, and to the right you will see a pitch monitor, hold down left click or whatever your key is to shoot, once you've done this, the animal will make a noise from the direction it is coming from, then repeat this again to actually call the animal to your location.

The creature will spawn and approach the calling point, and now you get out your Tranq rifle, stealthily shoot the animal with the Tranq rifle, after the animal falls over asleep, walk over to it and claim it, you will be rewarded animal tags as well as standing.

There are multiple different types of animals,\
And those are,

* Pobber
* Virmink
* Sawgaw
* Bolarola
* Horrasque
* Stover
* Kubrodon

# Orbs

Raknoids/Orbs are spider-like proxies that roam Orb Vallis.

Among these are 3 orb "bosses". Guides for them specifically are below.

There are also several smaller orbs, such as the Mite, Scyto, Kyta, and Coolant Raknoids.

# Profit-Taker

Guide and strategies by Dao219, -GrimmWar- and contributions to pylon Scoop-Strat from Werxxx

## **Speedrun Guide**

With the Warframes, weapons and tactics described below we were able to kill the Profit-Taker Orb in about 80 sec (from loading into Orb Valis until the Profit-Taker Orb died). This [Video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=57GXJLgwT9o\&feature=youtu.be) shows 3 of our runs from the Mirage point of view. Re-uploaded a Chroma [POV](https://youtu.be/2aN29HG3ZII).

Team Composition and Warframe Builds

Since the Profit-Taker Orb shield is only vulnerable to one IPS or elemental damage type at a time we decided to go with 3 Warframes that can provide damage buffs. Chroma is giving every player a base damage buff with Vex Armor, that is why we don’t use any base damage mods like Serration or Rubedo-Lined Barrel on our weapons. Rhino provides a multiplicative damage buff with Roar that multiplies the entire weapon damage. The third buffer Warframe is Mirage with the Total Eclipse augment. This provides another multiplicative damage buff to all players close to Mirage as long as Mirage is standing in light. These buffs allow to hit the damage caps on each damage type in a short amount of time so every player can just continuously shoot at the Profit-Taker Orb without looking at the current damage type.

With the dps problem solved there are three further issues that need to be dealt with: survivability, knockdowns and magnetic procs.

To deal with the knockdowns and magnetic procs as well as to increase survivability we use Oberon as 4th Warframe. Hallowed ground will grant all players status proc and knockdown immunity. The Profit-Taker Orb can still push players back but you won’t get interrupted and can continue shooting/reloading. Renewal provides healing per second, an armor buff and together with the Phoenix Renewal augment it prevents one death for each player every 90 seconds.

To further increase survivability Chroma runs fire (red energy color) to give everyone more health with Elemental Ward. Additionally Vex Armor will provide the Scorn armor buff to all players in range.

In order to benefit from these defensive buffs we use vitality on all Warframes. Usually only Mirage is in danger of dying since her base stats are relatively low.

The following screenshots show our Warframe builds with Arcanes. All of them are built for decent range to make sure that everyone gets buffed.

#### **Weapons and Damage Types**

The idea behind the weapons we picked is that we want all elements and IPs damage types on 4 players without having to swap weapons. There are 3 IPS, 4 single elemental and 6 combined elemental damage types. Each player builds one combined and one single elemental damage type which means two combined elements would be missing. Therefore two weapons are required that have a combined elemental damage type as their base damage. The best candidates we found so far are Arca Plasmor which has radiation base damage and Synapse which has corrosive base damage. For impact, puncture and slash we use two Imperator Vandal archguns.

### **Imperator Vandal Builds**

One Imperator Vandal is built for magnetic + toxin damage the other Imperator Vandal will be built for viral + heat. Quick Reload also helps keeping up dps with as little downtime as possible.

### **Arca Plasmor Build**

Arca Plasmor has base radiation and will be built for blast + electric. Chilling Reload, Shotgun Spazz and Tactical Bump help with fire rate and reload speed.

#### **Operators and Gear**

The Operators should use amps with Phahd scaffold since this scaffold can oneshot pylons. It doesn't matter which prism/brace you use since all prisms are too weak to oneshot pylons and objects can’t be hit with critical hits.

We picked Madurai because of the passive physical and elemental damage buffs but overall the focus school doesn’t make a huge difference. Void Flow, Void Siphon and Mind Sprint are the only mandatory waybounds. Any other waybounds are nice to have.

**Energy pads are mandatory.**

Carrier with Ammo Case provides 25% additional Ammo Capacity. This also affects archguns, the ammo conversion doesn’t affect archguns, but having 300 additional ammo helps in case some shields take longer due to mistakes.

### Strategy

#### **Spawn Locations**

There are 3 different spawn locations. The orange circles are our initial landing spots so we can make sure that we all stack for the damage buffs. On Mushroom Madness we try to lure the Profit-Taker Orb away from the mushrooms since it can be quite annoying to destroy pylons that land on mushrooms.

## **Profit-Taker Orb**

As soon as the Profit-Taker Orb spawned we all land at the same landing spot, use our buffs and the 2 Imperator Vandal users activate their archguns. The host usually arrives first. That is why Chroma should be host since he has the most buffs that need to be applied as well as getting out his archgun and having to eventually do self damage (cast Elemental Ward first to immediately provide a buff for mirage). Chroma also lands a bit closer to the boss while Mirage stays a bit further behind. That way Chroma should tank most of the damage which usually maxes out Vex armor, while also lowering the damage that Mirage takes. Oberon gets up Hallowed Ground and Renewal as soon as possible. When all buffs are up all players start walking closer to the Profit-Taker Orb while continuously shooting. By going close enough you can be inside the blue walls and avoid having your shots blocked by them.

Overall the fight isn’t very complicated. It roughly has 3 relevant phases - shields, legs, pylons - which repeat during the fight.

shield phase => leg phase => 4 pylons => leg phase => shield phase => leg phase => 6 pylons => shield phase => leg phase => Grofit

During the shield phases everyone just shoots at the Profit-Taker Orb regardless of which damage type is currently active. The archgun users have to kill two legs each so we decided that one player kills the right legs and one player kills the left legs before they switch to the body of the Profit-Taker Orb. The pylon phases require a bit coordination. Oberon should recast Hallowed Ground during the leg phases before a pylon phase so it is still up when players come back.

## **Pylons**

We are currently testing different ideas for coordinating players during the pylon phases. In our runs we used the “Scoop-Strat”.During the 4 pylon phase each player destroys one pylon. During the 6 pylon phase both archgun players destroy one pylon while the other players destroy 2 pylons each. Between the pylon launch and the pylon landings is a lot of time to pick targets and coordinate players.

***

### **Scoop-Strat**

For this strategy we divide the area around the Profit-Taker Orb into 4 sectors and assign each player to one of them. As a general rule, Chroma gets the front sector, while Oberon and Rhino split left and right, which leaves Mirage for the back sector. This is done in this manner because Oberon and Rhino need to be opposite of each other, to be able to get 2 pylons each on the 6 pylon stage. Moreover, Chroma needs to be close to be able to shoot fast. Mirage, as non-host archgun user, is in danger of dying without the chroma buffs, so it is better to leave chroma closest.

When the pylons get launched every player needs to pay attention to the pylon split and especially to the situation of neighbouring sectors.

If 3 pylons drop in one sector the player who is assigned to this sector takes the middle pylon, while players from neighbouring quadrants will come scoop the side ones. If only 2 dropped, but the neighbouring left sector has none, then the player needs to shift right, and leave the left pylon untouched for the player that is coming from the other sector.

### **Clock-Strat**

This strategy requires a reference point. You can use the head of the Profit-Taker Orb (where it shows the damage type) as “12 o’clock” and then have players pick pylons by going clockwise (c) or counterclockwise (cc). This will work even if all pylons go to the same side.

green square := head

blue circles := pylons

\*\*\*\*4 pylons: Each player picks one pylon c1, c2, cc1 or cc4.

![](https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/i_EyeS-9fljlsvi3mC8pEXred6a5y_Wa9vYjHNbbQYMU_c2gt6ztyV4vZgN0gs3rYZSarIg9RSRHnFxmCTHDCn_aPIU8D6ic7r_B1maT29DeSEvpu5DSHPAWKh_bGQLr7i9fZ7VX)

6 pylons: Archgun players pick one pylon each and non-archgun players pick two pylons each.

![](https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/PUhiRSa3Qh20FTALvSDFTBufTB9ykQNLPotQUyxZbLqF1m5lF4DWYd3EOjBFQ2Nchk6uWQPns5bs43OYzGHIECCL0nQke77FeTVv25q6eUdH005ljCCrgOztHainBZjGO8MD7k2k)

### **Launch-Time-Strat**

There is a short delay between the launch of each pylon so targets can be picked by numbering pylons from 1-4 and 1-6 depending on their launch times. During the 4 pylon phase each player takes one pylon, you just have to decide before the runs who has which number. During the 6 pylon phase the archgun players destroy pylon 5 and 6 while the non-archgun players destroy pylons 1-2 and 3-4.

# Riven Mods

What is a Riven mod?

Riven mods are special purple mods, awarded from Sorties, special alerts triggered by DE, and select quests as compensation if the frame it would award is already owned. The incarnation of RNG itself, they have several aspects to them. First, they start off as "Veiled" and give no stats when equipped, and are tied to a weapon type: Rifle, Shotgun, Secondary, or Melee. By equipping the mod into a weapon of the corresponding type, you way attempt it's "Challenge", created randomly from two parts: A Task and a Complication. These can range from "Complete a 30+ interception mission, alone." to "Get 66 finishers in a day", and once finished the mod is unveiled at the end of the mission.

Once unveiled, the Riven will become bound to a select weapon of it's type randomly, and be given between two and three random positive stats, and one potential random negative "Curse". Depending on the weapon it binds to, the stats can range for +300% base damage to less than 100%, and so on for every stat. A weapon’s "Disposition" is listed in the arsonal while you have a riven that can be equipped to it.

One final note, you have a limit to how many Riven mods you can own at one time. It starts at fifteen, and can be raised by buying riven slots, up to a max of ninety. Further Riven questions can go in #riven-hub.

# Negative IPS

To understand how good negative ips is, we must first remind ourselves how status procs are inflicted : the chance to proc an element without taking weapon's status chance into consideration is :

for elemental:

$$
total = elementalDamage\*100/(moddedDamage)
$$

and for IPS =

$$
total = IPSdamage\*400/(moddedDamage)
$$

Now as you may notice, ips damage gets favoured 4 times over elemental damage, meaning you will most likely proc more ips than elemental procs, if damage values for each are equal.

* Why would that be a bad thing you might ask? well only the slash proc is considered good while impact or puncture procs are wasted potential, as that proc could have been something more useful and beneficial to the weapon, such as corrosive, gas or viral.
* But what if that specific ips is my main damage type? well it depends on what weapon you are using if it is a hard-hitting weapon like a sniper it will make for a really great hunter muntions or a Gas build (both these DOT aren't affected by ips damage ).If it is an automatic weapon/beam weapon -ips can lead to significantly more corrosive procs, helping strip armour faster and sometimes helping a mediocre base status chance. In most cases the upfront damage loss will be outweighed by procing more useful status.

# Tips For Teachers

Author: /u/lostguru

**Informal Tips for Teachers:**

* **Let your buddy set the pace** - Your job isn't to do the killing for your allies nor is it just to make it easier for your allies to do the killing. It's to let them have a great new player experience without any frustrating hiccups or confusing misunderstandings about how mechanics work. Play alongside them and let them control the flow of the mission. Pretend you're a cephalon.
* **Lower your damage output** - Equipping an Extinguished Dragon Key for its flat 75% damage output reduction can help, but you'll usually have to go a little further than that. Good rule of thumb with or without Extinguished (depending on the weapon of course) is to unequip any mods that directly affect base damage, namely Serration, Heavy Caliber, \[Primed] Point Blank, Hornet Strike, Magnum Force, \[Primed] Pressure Point, and Spoiled Strike. On the flip side, you can also slot ONLY those base damage mods in instead. Do to same to your sentinel weapons (if you leave their attack precepts on) and/or companions (Maul).
* **Lower your potency** - Your abilities should not be overpowered either. Purposefully lower the strength, range, and duration of applicable warframe abilities so that using them does not immediately turn your and your allies into walking natural disasters. Use corrupted mods to gimp yourself on purpose (e.g. Overextended to gimp Power Strength, Narrow Minded to gimp Power Range, & Fleeting Expertise/Transient Fortitude to gimp Power Duration). You can use the rest of your open spaces to slot those nifty survivability and utility mods that you almost never get to use normally.
* **Avoid AoE attacks** - This includes nuking abilities on warframes and weapons with an AoE explosion (e.g. \[Synoid] Simulor, Kulstar, weapons with Concealed Explosives/Thunderbolt), chaining beam (e.g. Amprex & Atomos), syndicate proc (whether from the weapon itself or from a weapon mod augment), or large hitbox (e.g. Telos Boltace & weapons with Primed Reach).
* **Status is great** - Soften up tough targets or lower their threat level. Puncture, Impact, Corrosive, Magnetic, and Viral are great to have to either make them more vulnerable or have them deal less damage to allies. Radiation and Blast are great too, but they have a chance of affecting the new player experience adversely if you cause too many of those procs occur.
* **Keep a stockpile of Team Restores ready for use in your gear wheel** - The major ones are Health and Ammo Restores obviously, but ideally you should have all 4 ready. Hotkey them too if convenient for easy access. Remember not to spam them. Other useful gear items include Air Support Charges, Tenno Specters, and Ciphers, all of which you can use to salvage runs gone awry.
* **Avoid using Focus abilities** - This is mostly for allies who haven't completed The Second Dream questline to avoid showing them spoilers. Feel free to use it offscreen however (though you should generally be staying close to them). Vazarin is the natural choice for the bankable instant revives. If they've already completed the quest however or don't care for spoilers, then Vazarin's active cast is nice for some minute healing. Naramon's and Zenurik's active casts are also nice CC abilities.

**Loadout Selection & Modding:**

As long as you remember to gimp yourself, you really can't go wrong. If you don't have any ideas on what you might want to use, have a look at the list below. Remember that these are just suggestions. **Choose whatever you want, nerf it to hell, and HAVE FUN.** Don't forget you can always try and match the loadout of your ally to help show them how it's done!

**AURAS**

* **Enemy Radar** - Give them an extra heads-up at incoming mobs and teach them to pay attention to their minimap.
* **Loot Detector** - Help point out items of interest to explorers and treasure hunters.
* **Speed Holster** - Faster weapon swap speed is great and encourages allies to use their full loadout more.
* **Sprint Boost** - Always nice to have until they get used to moving with the parkour system.
* Corrosive Projection - If your ally's damage output isn't up to par for the content you're doing for some reason, this can help out.
* Dead Eye - If your ally's damage output isn't up to par for the content you're doing for some reason, this can help out.
* Rifle Amp - If your ally's damage output isn't up to par for the content you're doing for some reason, this can help out.
* Shield Disruption - If your ally's damage output isn't up to par for the content you're doing for some reason, this can help out.
* EMP Aura - Can help survivability slightly, but there are better ways to improve that.
* Infested Impedance - Can help survivability slightly, but there are better ways to improve that.
* Physique - Can help survivability slightly, but there are better ways to improve that.
* Rejuvenation - Can help survivability slightly, but there are better ways to improve that. Can also lead to those "Lemme hide here for an eternity while my health refills before moving on!" moments if you're not careful. Just use a Team Health Restore.
* Energy Siphon - Nice to encourage ability use, but can also lead to those "Lemme hide here for an eternity until I get enough energy!" moments if you're not careful. Just use a Team Energy Restore.

**WARFRAMES**

Remember that you shouldn't be constantly buffing your allies and CCing/debuffing your enemies. **Only buff and debuff when you see that your buddy needs a helping hand, or has just been downed and needs to recover and recollect themselves.** Let them direct the flow of the game.

* **Banshee** - Sonar is a better Enemy Radar; Resonance makes it even better but it also tends to make Sonar a bit too powerful, so be careful using it. Silence helps make learning stealth runs easier if they fudge up a kill. Sonic Fracture can be used for cheap armor removal as long as it doesn't kill.
* **Ember** - Both Fireball Frenzy and Flash Accelerant help boost ally damage output. Fire Fright is a nice panic button as long as it doesn't kill.
* **Equinox** - Great jack-of-all-trades. Use night-form Rest to sleep targets and day-form Rage to enrage enemies and buff damage output, adding Calm & Frenzy if desired. Use night-form Pacify to reduce incoming damage and day-form Provoke to buff ability damage, adding Peaceful Provocation if desired. Use night-form Mend to heal allies, but avoid day-form Maim even though it CCs due to its capability for ludicrous damage.
* **Frost** - Freeze Force boosts ally damage output. Ice Wave Impedance is a great CC ability as long as it doesn't kill. Snow Globe/Chilling Globe is an A+ defensive tool, just don't use it liberally and remember to erase each one with Freeze afterwards to prevent building camping habits.
* **Hydroid** - Tidal Impunity both cleanses allies of status ailments and also grants them status proc immunity that scales off of Power Duration. Curative Undertow heals allies that stand in it. Pilfering Swarm can be used (not spammed) to increase resource drops.
* **Mag** - Starter frame; it's comforting to learn from a partner with the same gear as you! Magnetize enemies to help players with crappy aim. Polarize to recharge shields and debuff enemies as long as it doesn't kill.
* **Mirage** - Total Eclipse is a strong buffing skill no matter what its effect since you'll always be fighting near your ally. Don't prioritize one buff over the other and just let the buff apply itself passively. Prism is great CC when instantly-detonated. Avoid Hall of Mirrors since it can sometimes make yourself too powerful and cause confusion for new players in close quarters.
* **Nezha** - Firewalker can be used to cleanse allies of status ailments and is also a great trailmarker you can use to show allies different paths through an area or help them find you if they're lost. Blazing Chakram can be used to heal allies that are near the affected enemy. Safeguard is a nice protective augment for when things go south (just make sure your Power Strength isn't bonkers). Divine Spears is decent CC as long as it doesn't kill.
* **Oberon** - Smite Infusion boosts ally damage output. Hallowed Ground cleanses allies of status ailments (but make sure it isn't so powerful that it kills enemies that walk onto it). Renewal/Phoenix Renewal grants allies a heal-over-time and cleanse if topped off while also slowing bleedout speed.
* **Rhino** - Rhino Charge and Rhino Stomp are nice CC abilities as long as they don't kill. Roar/Piercing Roar is a great no-nonsense ally damage buff (and enemy debuffer with augment).
* **Saryn** - Venom Dose boosts ally damage output. Molt/Regenerative Molt can be used to draw fire and describe positions and locations to allies. Spores give Viral procs to everything in the room.
* **Titania** - Spellbind allies to make them immune to status ailments. Use Tribute to buff allies. Lantern is decent CC.
* **Trinity** - Energy Vampire/Vampire Leech to provide energy (and overshields with the augment) and Blessing for a flat heal and damage reduction. Just tone down your Power Strength first and make sure you're not constantly casting both abilities (if you are, you should go somewhere lower level).
* **Vauban** - Minelayer mines are great to setup and have fun with as long as they don't kill (and don't annoy your allies with Bounce spam). Bastille/Repelling Bastille is great for players that struggle with aiming.
* **Volt** - Starter frame; it's comforting to learn from a partner with the same gear as you! Shock Trooper boosts ally damage output. Speed/Shocking Speed is a fun movement and melee attack speed buff as long as the latter doesn't instantly kill enemies. Electric Shield is very useful offensive cover, just don't use it liberally.
* Ash - Smoke Shadow is a great for granting temporarily stealth for Spy mission introductions, and Seeking Shruiken can be used for cheap armor removal as long as it doesn't kill.
* Atlas - Tectonics provides portable cover, but at the danger of turning the game into a chest-high wall simulator if you use it too liberally. Petrify is a decent on-command slow and CC tool.
* Chroma - Everlasting Ward is a great ally buff; tailor your element to your ally's skill.
* Excalibur - Starter frame; it's comforting to learn from a partner with the same gear as you! Only synergistic skill is Radial Blind/Radiant Finish however.
* Inaros - Devour and Scarab Swarm can heal allies, though the former requires awareness and active communication between both players and the latter can easily kill low level targets. Sandstorm is decent CC.
* Ivara - Quiver arrow repetoire is very handy for learning stealth runs, and Prowl helps you get a little extra loot while doing so.
* Limbo - Haven can be used to quickly take an ally out of a bad spot and give them some breathing room. Otherwise, the whole ability roster will probably make things confusing and frustrating for a new player (make sure they know how to roll to unbanish themselves). Avoid until the rework possibly fixes these issues.
* Loki - Decoy can be used to draw fire and describe positions and locations to allies. Switch Teleport/Safeguard Switch can take allies out of a bad spot at the cost of some slight disorientation (or just wait until they die and invisibly revive them or switch teleport their corpse away from the danger zone). Radial Disarm/Irradiating Disarm takes a huge amount of heat off of allies, but sometimes too much if your Power Range is bonkers.
* Mesa - Shooting Gallery/Muzzle Flash is a nice ally protection tool.
* Nekros - Soul Survivor is a great instant revive if you don't have Vazarin. Terrify/Creeping Terrify is a great CC tool and debuff if you have the augment. Desecrate is great for more resource drops and creating plentiful health orbs (but make sure they don't get used to it). Avoid Shadows of the Dead, since it makes firefights super confusing even for veterans.
* Nova - Worm Hole is convenient when convenient. Molecular Prime is both a great CC and buffing tool, but is still very overpowered if you don't keep your Power Range low since the chain explosions will wipe low level enemies off the map.
* Nyx - Pacifying Bolts and Chaos/Chaos Sphere are good CC. Absorb/Assimilate is nice for some breathing room.
* Valkyr - Warcry is a fun armor and melee attack speed buff and good enemy slow debuff. Paralysis/Prolonged Paralysis is decent CC.
* Wukong - With a visible energy color, Cloud Walker can be used to show players traversal paths or serve as a pseudo-beacon waypoint for points of interest.
* Zephyr - Turbluence/Jet Stream is a strong defensive skill somewhere between Frost's Snow Globe and Nyx's Absorb. Tornado is decent CC.

**PRIMARIES**

* **Charge Weapons** (e.g. Opticor & drawstring bow-type weapons), **Semi-Automatics** (e.g. Latron \[Prime/Wraith] & Stradavar), & **Sniper Rifles** (e.g. Lanka, Rubico, Vectis \[Prime]) - Pick off priority targets and save the day! Avoid syndicate procs such as Lasting Purity on the Vulkar \[Wraith] and be careful with the AoE generated by weapons like the Opticor upon impact.
* **Boar Prime** & **Strun Wraith** - 100% status shotguns. Avoid the Tigris Prime due to its high Slash bias and since its base damage is already so damn high.
* **Glaxion** - Pure-elemental beam weapon with very high status per second.
* **Paracyst** - Pure-elemental projectile weapon with built-in 50m harpoon. You can use it to CC priority targets.
* **Phage** - Pure-elemental beam shotgun that can modded for both Viral and Corrosive.
* **Quanta Vandal** - Pure-elemental beam weapon with decent status per second.
* Harpak - Burst-fire projectile weapon with built-in 50m harpoon. You can use it to CC priority targets. Stabilizer highly recommended.
* Ignis - Pure-elemental beam weapon with decent status per second. Does a lot of damage at low levels since its buff, so be careful with its huge AoE, keep Vile Precision equipped, and only use this in later starchart missions.
* Torid - Great CC & status launcher, just avoid modding for damage and don't concentrate your mines in one area due to its AoE DoT nature.

**SECONDARIES**

* **Semi-Automatics** (e.g. Lex \[Prime] & Akmagnus) & **Thrown Weapons** (e.g. Spira \[Prime] & Despair) - Pick off priority targets and save the day! Avoid syndicate procs such as the Vaykor Marelok and be sure Concealed Explosives is unslotted if you use it.
* **Castanas** & **Talons** - Guaranteed Electric or Blast proc respectively upon manual detonation. Watch out for the self-damage, though if you toned down the damage it shouldn't be too bad.
* **Nukor** & **Staticor** - Pure-elemental projectile weapons with decent status chances that can be modded for both Radiation and Corrosive.
* **Akbronco Prime** - 100% status shotgun secondary. No damage falloff but large spread, which ends up working in our favor.
* **Akstiletto Prime** - 100% status automatic secondary. Can quickly afflict crowds with status procs.
* **Tysis** - Pure-elemental projectile weapon. With just Jolt and Pistol Pestilence you get a pure Corrosive elemental weapon with 100% status chance that you can use to strip armor off priority targets. Two shots with Barrel Diffusion & Lethal Torrent strips \~80% of a mob's armor, so you can quickly fire a few shots at a mob and move on. A nice no-forma build is Barrel Diffusion, Lethal Torrent, Jolt, Pistol Pestilence, Convulsion, & Pathogen Rounds; it'll take about one magazine of body-shots to down a Lvl. 35 Corrupted Heavy Gunner (her armor will also be stripped to negligible amounts less than halfway through).
* Pox - Great CC & 100% status projectile weapon, just avoid modding for damage and don't concentrate your mines in one area due to its AoE DoT nature.
* Sonicor - Ragdoll enemies for CC, though for some players it can make aiming at enemies frustrating.
* Twin Grakatas - Clem cosplay. Make sure you run out of ammo before you kill anything, because these things hit like a truck.

**MELEE**

For all selections, if you have the space, stick on Finishing Touch/Covert Lethality so that your gimped damage doesn't bite you in the ass during stealth kill prompts or frontal finishers.

* **Lacera**, **Ninkondi**, & **Twin Basolk** - Pure-elemental melee weapons with 100% status chance. Great for quickly applying desired status procs to priority targets or crowds of enemies.
* **Ack & Brunt** - Electromagnetic Shielding is a nice mod that you can use to help take a little heat off of allies during stationary missions like defense or mobile defense (it also teaches them to stay near the damn objective).
* **Halikar** - Hold down Quick Melee to throw the thing and RNG-disarm priority targets for some CC. Disarm chance is tied to status chance, so all 4 dual-status mods brings disarm chance up to 51%. Slot in Whirlwind and \[Primed] Fury as usual, and consider using Rebound in the last slot for a better chance at disarming mobs (though be careful if the weapon is doing too much damage) or Quick Return for more single-target control. Avoid Power Throw if you choose Quick Return. Pray while you're using it that the homing RNG doesn't screw you over.
* **Kestrel** - Hold down Quick Melee to throw the thing and ragdoll priority targets for some CC. Equip Whirlwind and Entropy Flight for ludicrous flight speed along with \[Primed] Fury for faster throws and either Rebound or Quick Return depending on your preferences. Avoid Power Throw if you choose Quick Return. If you choose to use Entropy Flight, be careful when main-handing (if you ever choose to do so) the weapon not to let its syndicate proc do too much work.
* **Sancti Magistar** - Charged attack lets off an AoE heal that affects both allies and mission objectives. Capped at 200 for yourself, but not for your friends and companions.
* **Vaykor Sydon** - Decent weapon with fun blocking mechanic that you arguably wouldn't be able to get any use out of otherwise. Encourages you to play more passively as a teacher.
* Dark Split-Sword - Pure-elemental melee weapon with high status chance (in Heavy Blade stance) that can be modded for both Radiation and Corrosive.
* \[Secura] Lecta - Pure-elemental melee weapon with high status chance.
* Serro - Pure-elemental melee weapon with high status chance.

**Additional Notes:**

* Waypoint as needed (G by default) to help guide allies around and point out objects or places of interest.
* The Extinguished Dragon Key does not reduce flat damage modifiers, such as those provided by Concealed Explosives, Thunderbolt, or Acid Shells. It's usually best to just remove these mods entirely.
* Kavat companions can also serve as RNG buffers. Just make sure to explain the buffs to your allies so they know what's going on.
